Maersk picks CBRE for global logistics mandate

Danish logistics group Maersk has named CBRE as its global real estate adviser overseeing its industrial and logistics portfolio.

The move comes as Maersk, which operates more than 450 warehouses globally and has staff in more than 130 counties, shifts to offer better integrated services that span customers’ entire supply chains.

That will call for new port and inland locations, the company said, with a planned acquisition rollout of distribution centres and cold storage units over the coming years.

Ben Pask, head of contracted accounts at CBRE, said the agency will “support Maersk in finding the right facilities while helping it accelerate the decarbonisation of its landside logistics”.
