TikTok star Mitchell Halliday has taken almost 2,000 sq ft at Urban Splash’s Giant’s Basin in Manchester for his make-up brand Made by Mitchell.
Halliday, who first rose to fame on The X Factor, has taken 1,969 sq ft on a five-year lease in the 10,000 sq ft Giant’s Basin office development, which is located in the Castlefield district of Manchester.
With almost a million followers on TikTok under the name Mmmmitchell, Halliday has relocated his business to the building bought by Urban Splash in 2021.
He said: “Our brand isn’t even four years old, and some of the things we’ve done, some brands don’t do in 10 years.
“But along with all that success we lacked a base, something we put on the back burner while we focused on growth, so I’m thrilled that we finally we have our own space in Manchester and look forward to what’s ahead.”
The deal was completed in-house by Urban Splash.
Urban Splash head of commercial property Emma Gardiner said: “This deal was exceptional – not only completed in just four days but also drawing eager TikTok fans requesting selfies with Mitchell during our viewings.”
Urban Splash has also signed One Agency Media and Cos Bookkeeping for a respective 2,334 sq ft and 920 sq ft at School House, both on five-year terms.
In Salford Quays, Zone of Tech has taken 577 sq ft on a five-year lease at Urban Splash’s Boat Shed, where Seven Three One has also taken 344 sq ft on a three-year lease.
In Liverpool, Cream has renewed on 3,929 sq ft at Tea Factory and accountant Harvey Guinan has renewed on 278 sq ft at Matchworks.
