Real estate investor Mactaggart Family & Partners has lodged proposals for the conversion of a two-storey office block adjacent to Fleet Station, Hampshire.
Under the proposals the building, known as Nisaba House, will be converted into a 70,000 sq ft self-storage facility. The office, which sits on the Waterfront Business Park, is currently vacant.
If approved, the site will be operated by Storage King UK. Fleet was identified as an area of opportunity by Storage King, as there is no existing self-storage facility to serve the residents and businesses of the town.
Mactaggart has appointed AEW Architects to design the scheme, which has been one of the architect’s first projects in the self-storage sector.
Lichfields is advising Mactaggart on planning matters.
