L&Q and London South East College have gained unanimous approval from Greenwich Council for proposals to develop 294 homes and a college campus.
The housing association will provide half of the homes as affordable, with a mix of shared ownership and affordable rent in blocks of up to 13 storeys on Plumstead Road, SE18.
Angie Hooper, director of business development at L&Q, said: “Our plans will result in a vibrant new place at the heart of Plumstead, combining educational facilities, which will do so much to improve people’s life chances, with an attractive development bringing new and affordable homes to the area.”
Construction works are expected to start in early 2022. The first homes are expected to complete at the same time as the college opens in 2025.
