L’Oreal is weighing up options for its UK and Ireland headquarters in Hammersmith, W6, including either relocating or extending its lease for another year, EG understands.
The global cosmetics firm occupies around 130,000 sq ft at 255 Hammersmith Road on a lease due to expire in 2022.
Although the search is still at a very early stage, it is understood that L’Oreal has retained Cushman & Wakefield to carry out preliminary research.
The agent advised previously on the renewal of the firm’s lease, which had been due to expire later this year, two years’ ago.
According to market sources, the firm has looked at buildings in Hammersmith and White City.
If L’Oreal were to relocate to another building in Hammersmith, potential sites for a large requirement could include Romulus Construction’s 10-storey, 180,000 sq ft Triangle or Eastern & Oriental’s Hammersmith tower site, which includes 135,000 sq ft of offices.
Cushman declined to comment. L’Oreal was approached for comment.
