London developer inks Wembley co-living deal

London developer Sheen Lane has agreed to let a residential scheme in Wembley with co-living operator Vonder for its largest scheme to date.

Vonder has taken a long lease for the building at 1 Olympic Way as a 313-bedroom co-living scheme. The property includes a gym, yoga room, private cinema, cafe, lounge, shared kitchens and games room.

Sheen Lane obtained consent to convert the former office building last year, with a seven-storey residential extension and new 15-storey block.

The developer specialises in office conversions and has expanded its portfolio in recent months, with a swathe of permitted development prior approval applications across the capital.

Since legislation was put in place to allow permitted development conversion of any vacant building for residential, Sheen Lane has lodged applications for seven such schemes, with two full planning applications. It has focused on outer boroughs including Barnet, Brent and Kingston.

Vonder has a portfolio of over 30 locations across London, Berlin, Warsaw and Dublin, including Vonder Skies in Brentford, Vonder Hill, Vonder Shoreditch and Vonder Village.
