Kensington & Chelsea Council’s planning committee has unanimously approved Lodha Properties’ £400m scheme at the former Kensington Odeon, W6.
The mixed-use development comprises a new Picturehouse cinema with six screens and 887 seats, 67,000 sq ft of commercial space and 106 flats.
It includes 35 affordable homes and a £1.4m contribution to affordable homes off-site.
The application revises the old consent from 2016, boosting the number of homes with additional floors added to the building.
The scheme was designed by Squire & Partners, with planning advice from Montagu Evans. Lodha completed the acquisition of the site from Delancey in 2018.
