Loan linked to hospital donation makes ESG the Point

New financing for the Point in Paddington, W2, will include an ongoing donation to the nearby St Mary’s Hospital.

The £120m, five-year loan on Tishman Speyer’s 233,539 sq ft office building includes an innovative community-linked impact feature.

This will see BNP Paribas and DekaBank waive part of their remuneration, instead making a matching contribution to a selected charity on an annual basis.

The first donation will help to fund an art therapy programme at St Mary’s Hospital, as well as the redevelopment of the play spaces in Children’s Services.

Tishman bought the Point in 2014.
