Lloyds’ BTR arm and Barratt partner on Gloucestershire housing scheme

Citra Living, Lloyds Banking Group’s BTR business, has acquired 156 homes from housebuilder Barratt Developments as part of a strategic partnership between the two.

The homes form a part of the Winnycroft Lane development in Matson, near Gloucester, which is set to create 420 homes. The scheme is 3.5 miles to the south of Gloucester and features an orchard, play areas, sports pitches and allotments.

The portfolio acquired by Citra includes two-, three- and four-bedroom flats, with the first homes expected to be ready for occupation in the summer.

Andy Hutchinson, managing director at Citra, said: “Gloucestershire continues to be an attractive location, in no small part thanks to the growing knowledge economy, transport links and access to both country and city living.”

Steve Mariner, sales and marketing director at Barratt, said: “Winnycroft is a development that showcases our ongoing partnership with Citra really well. It brings new homes to the private rental sector in Gloucestershire where they join a new community ready for people to move in this summer.”
