Liverpool resi scheme set to receive go-ahead

Liverpool City Council is expected to grant planning permission for the £23.6m redevelopment of 118-124 Duke Street.

The proposals were submitted by Davos Property, the development arm of retailer TJ Morris, in August 2023. They will see a terrace of four three-storey Grade II listed Georgian town houses turned into 88 flats.

The buildings will be partially demolished, repaired and remodelled to create 37 one-bedroom, 46 two-bedroom and five three-bedroom flats.

The developer has proposed a roof terrace, while the basement of the new-build block will contain cycle storage, a residents’ lounge, laundry room and storage locker room. The ground floor will see the creation of 3,767 sq ft commercial space.

The scheme was designed by Falconer Chester Hall. Turley is advising on planning matters.
