Chalenor Street Developments has been given the nod by Liverpool City Council to demolish three mixed-use buildings to make way for three towers comprising 650 homes and mixed-use space.
The site, located on the edge of the Baltic Triangle, will see the existing buildings demolished to create three tower blocks ranging from 17 to 27 storeys.
The towers will include 605 homes, a 204-bedroom hotel, circa 22,000 sq ft of office space and more than 24,000 sq ft of commercial, leisure and art gallery space.
There will be space for 178 cars on the basement floors and new public realm space will also be delivered.
The scheme was given the nod despite Historic England’s concerns the height of the scheme could have an impact the nearby Anglican cathedral.
