Speaking at the Northern Powerhouse Conference 2016 in Manchester, Liverpool City Council’s chief executive Ged Fitzgerald said the initiative was an opportunity for the cities of the North to demonstrate to investors and developers that it is trying to “get its act together” and reposition itself in the global marketplace.
