Lendlease’s Bek Seeley has been promoted to managing director for development in Europe.

Seeley succeeds Jonathan Emery, who left the business in December.
She joined Lendlease in 2015 as commercial and finance director, and was most recently chief operating officer for development, leading on projects in Euston, Thamesmead Silvertown and Birmingham Smithfield.
Neil Martin, chief executive for Lendlease Europe, said: “I’m confident Bek will continue to build on the successful delivery of our extensive pipeline in Europe. The sheer breadth and scale of her experience speaks for itself, and we look forward to the leadership she will bring to our projects at a time of huge growth for the company.”
Her promotion follows the appointment of Robert Welanetz to the Lendlease board as independent non-executive director earlier this week. Welanetz is the former chief executive for retail for JLL, and spent seven years at Blackstone advising acquisitions and strategy.
Lendlease recently received planning consent for its £3.5bn regeneration of Silvertown Quays in east London. It was also recently formally appointed by Birmingham City Council following its selection as partner for the £2bn Smithfield market development.
