Transport secretary Alistair Darling has ordered Leeds council and West Yorkshire Passenger Transport Executive (Metro) to cut the cost of Leeds' £500m Supertram project.
Possible cost-cutting measures are thought to include the abandonment of one of the three Supertram routes,
