Leeds chemical plant up for sale

Rhodia-logo_2008_corpo_1_THUMBChemicals manufacturer Rhodia has put its 6.4-acre factory in Leeds up for sale.

Drivers Jonas Deloitte has been appointed to sell Wortley Low Mills, where chemicals are produced for a wide range of industries.

The site is listed as being fit for large-scale redevelopment.

David Powell, assistant director at Drivers Jonas Deloitte in Leeds, said: “Like many companies, Rhodia is unlocking the value in its surplus assets to help support re-investment and growth in the rest of its business.

“A site of such a large size so close to Leeds city centre creates a rare development opportunity for potential buyers, especially as it could be used for such a variety of different functions.”
