Grosvenor Britain & Ireland has appointed Joanna Lea as retail director for its London estate.
She will be responsible for retail strategy and leasing across Grosvenor’s 300-acre estate in Mayfair and Belgravia, comprising 10 retail streets and nearly 400 shops and restaurants.
Lea joins from Oxford Properties where she was responsible for its London retail assets, including the Royal Exchange, EC3.
She has also worked for the Crown Estate, asset managing regional retail parks, shopping centres and the St James’s Estate, W1.
Lea started her career as a surveyor at Cushman & Wakefield 10 years ago.
She will report to Will Bax, director for placemaking for Grosvenor’s London Estate.
Bax said: “Joanna will be responsible for curating some of the world’s most high-profile retail streets, including Mayfair’s Mount Street and London’s premier design district in Pimlico Road. Our aim is to create and manage truly memorable places that offer special experiences and keep people coming back for more.”
Grosvenor’s Mayfair estate includes Mount Street, Duke Street and North Audley Street, where it recently received planning permission to convert St Mark’s Church into 14,500 sq ft of shops and restaurants.
