Land Securities has submitted a planning application for a new store earmarked for budget clothes retailer Primark at Westwood Cross shopping park at Broadstairs in Kent.
The REIT’s submission to Thanet Council comprises a 70,000 sq ft store, which will be built on the existing car park. Primark already has a shop in nearby Margate town centre.
The proposal includes further shops, restaurants and a 137-space car park, which will be built on the former Group Antolin site.
It also outlines possible future plans for a new road linking Antolin Way and Margate Road.
