Knight Frank’s Bradley Baker to join CORE

Knight Frank’s Bradley Baker, one of the most respected figures in the London office market, is leaving the agency world to join London developer CORE.

Baker, who is currently head of central London tenant representation at Knight Frank, will step down at the end of March 2018 and join CORE as a senior equity director in April.

He has worked in the central London office market for more than 30 years and has spent the past 15 years advising major occupiers on some of the city’s largest office deals.

Major transactions he has brokered include Bank of Tokyo’s 200,000 sq ft headquarters at Ropemaker Place, EC2; M&G’s 330,000 sq ft HQ at 10 Fenchurch Avenue, EC3; and Guardian Media Group’s 150,000 sq ft HQ at King’s Cross, N1.

Baker’s hire represents a new occupier-focused approach to development at CORE, which was founded in 2000 by chairman Chris Strickland and chief executive David Ainsworth.

The developer has worked on more than 11m sq ft of London office space on behalf of a range of client partners over the past 16 years, including Nomura’s headquarters at Watermark Place, EC4, 6 Bevis Marks, EC3, and Finsbury Circus House, EC2.

It has recently delivered the 112,000 sq ft LSQ London office-led development in Leicester Square, WC2 – Hearst’s new London HQ.

Baker said: “Occupiers are the ultimate customer whose requirements have changed rapidly over recent years. We should not underestimate how quickly we to need to adapt in order to meet the shifting nature of their needs.

“I am really looking forward to bringing my insight and experience to contribute to CORE’S development business.”
