Knight Frank: business balance remains at the top of the agenda

Following the success of EG’s Future Female Leaders project in 2019, we have pledged to continue our programme of training the industry’s future leaders with at least two further cohorts in 2020.

Back in partnership with Ginger Public Speaking, a range of women from across the built environment will again be undergoing Ginger’s intense training schedule, learning the skills and building the confidence to be not just a future leader, but a leader today.

Culminating, just like in 2019, with a high-octane and overwhelmingly inspiring event in the summer, this year’s Future Female Leaders project kicks off officially on 20 February. But before we meet this year’s cohorts, let’s hear from some of our key partners on FFL: the second coming.

We are committed to ensuring that we help shape our industry to be the best, most balanced and innovative that it can possibly be

Why Knight Frank is supporting Future Female Leaders

Following the resounding success of last year’s programme, Knight Frank is delighted to have once again committed to EG’s Future Female Leaders initiative. There is no doubt that 2019’s programme provided an exceptional platform to engage and encourage the next generation of women in real estate, and we are excited about having another opportunity to be involved in such a positive initiative.

This year will see Amanda Lim, head of our Flexible Office Solutions team, represent Knight Frank as our chosen future female leader.

Since relocating to our London office from Singapore to set up the FOS team in 2016, Amanda has spearheaded the team’s dominance in the flexible office market, achieving a fourfold revenue growth and expanding the team from one to seven people. As part of this, she also led the service’s digital transformation with the launch of its dedicated online platform last year. This innovative move resulted in a 426% increase in deals between June and December.

In the same year, Amanda established the Women of Knight Frank series, with the aim of creating a support network for women across the firm. The inaugural event welcomed more than 130 women from all areas of the business to an open discussion on issues surrounding diversity and gender imbalance in the workplace and initiatives for creating a blueprint to take this forward.

Business balance remains at the top of the agenda at Knight Frank, and the Future Female Leaders programme directly aligns with this and the core values of our KF X initiative, which aims to drive ambitious diversity across the firm and fast-track the talent that is coming through.

Improving business balance is essential not only to Knight Frank’s future but to that of the entire real estate industry. We are proud to have partnered with EG once again on the Future Female Leaders programme and very much look forward to seeing how this year’s initiative and cohort guide Amanda and us, as we support, listen to and champion her.
