Knight Frank has announced that it is consolidating its North West operation into its Manchester office, closing its Liverpool branch as a result.
The move also means that Knight Frank will consider relocating to larger offices in Manchester city centre to incorporate the larger team.
The agency said that following a re-evaluation of services across Liverpool and Manchester, a number of people will be placed into a period of redundancy consultation, which will be carried out over the next two weeks.
The agency employs nine people in Liverpool and occupies around 4,500 sq ft in Horton House in the city centre.
Knight Frank also said it will continue to run all service lines and provide a full service to respective clients out of the Manchester office.
David Porter, head of North West commercial agency at Knight Frank, said: “This strategic review of our services will enable us to refocus our commitment to Merseyside and we will continue to work with our clients to provide the highest level of service across the region. By consolidating the two offices we will strengthen our North West offering, allowing teams to provide clients with a first class service from a central hub.
“This consolidation will, regrettably, result in some redundancies from within the agency teams. This is a difficult time and we want ensure that these decisions are made in a sensitive manner. We are currently in a period of consultation with teams from across the North West.”
