Knight Frank and CBRE have been appointed as office leasing and development advisers on the mammoth planned City skyscraper at 100 Leadenhall Street, EC3.
They will act on behalf of the building’s developer, Frontier Dragon, a subsidiary of Hong Kong-listed Lai Sun Development Company. Nicknamed the Diamond, 100 Leadenhall will sit next to the Gherkin and will be one of the largest commercial towers in the capital.
Designed by Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, the tower will stand at 263m tall over 56 storeys. It will contain 1m sq ft of office space and amenities and will be the financial district’s third-tallest building upon completion, which is planned for 2028. Developers plan for 100 Leadenhall to have net-zero carbon emissions.
Planning has already been secured for the scheme, which has a vacant possession date of the end of 2023. London & Oriental is the UK client representative and development adviser.
Chew Fook Aun, deputy chairman of Lai Sun, said: “The appointment of leasing agents is an important first step on the journey to deliver what will be a best-in-class workspace for the future occupiers of London, and we look forward to drawing on their experience and expertise as we move forward.”
