Kingsway signs existing tenant for larger warehouse

Kingsway Business Park has signed another existing occupier for a larger premises at the industrial estate in Rochdale, Greater Manchester.

Household textiles supplier Cleland McIver, which has been based at the site since 2018, will grow into Imperial 165, a 165,696 sq ft warehouse.

The deal comes shortly after audiovisual and entertainment technology firm Solotech signed for 76,000 sq ft. Other businesses based at Kingsway include Amazon, Asda and JD Sports.

Kingsway Business Park is a 420-acre industrial estate located on J21 of the M62. It is being delivered by Kingsway Partnership, a joint venture between the Rochdale Development Agency, Rochdale Borough Council, Homes England and Wilson Bowden.

Danny Meredith, cabinet member for regeneration and housing at Rochdale Borough Council, said: “It is testament to the quality and location of the park that both current and new occupiers want to grow and expand here.

“Kingsway is a central part of Atom Valley, which will bring 20,000 jobs to the area and will continue to attract world-class organisations for the benefit of residents and the local business community.”

Atom Valley is a developing innovation cluster in Greater Manchester, which sits between Oldham, Rochdale and Bury. It has the potential to deliver up to 17m sq ft of flexible employment space and 7,000 homes.

JLL, Avison Young and CBRE are the joint letting agents at Kingsway.
