PrettyLittleThing co-founder and chief executive of Manchester-based developer Karmani Property Group Adam Kamani has launched a new house-hunting app, called MoveStreets.
The app, which has been compared to the dating app Tinder, allows house-hunters to swipe right on properties they like and alerts the listing agent to arrange a viewing, while swiping left can allow hunters to dump the property.
Homes advertised on the app are based on the user’s location, and each property includes a gallery of pictures, details on location and an interactive map which highlights nearby essential destinations.
Kamani is part of the billionaire family behind Boohoo and Nasty Gal, and has been chief executive of Kamani Property Group since 2016.
He said: “At a time when many estate agencies struggled to navigate the growing influence of social media on the property market, our deep understanding of data, marketing and consumer needs has been instrumental in providing a new property portal to support both the customer and the agency.
“This has directly enabled us to innovate within an industry that needed to adapt, and quickly. We wanted to expedite the way we buy and sell houses making finding your forever home fun and exciting; homebuyers can now look for a new home the same way they look for new partners: by swiping.”
The app is available to use in Manchester, and the company plans to expand the offering nationwide throughout 2021.
