Joules offloads Corby distribution hub

Horton’s Estates has bought fashion chain Joules’ distribution hub in Corby, Northamptonshire, with a view to refurbish and develop the site once the retailer’s lease comes to an end.

The 19.8-acre site on Oakley Hay industrial estate comprises two warehouses totalling 275,000 sq ft. There are also 3.2-acres of open storage land, currently let to TUTS (UK), which has development potential.

The acquisition of the site comes as Joules launches consultations over potential job losses at its HQ.

Next, which bought the troubled fashion brand out of administration late last year, acquiring 100 stores, said: “Where roles are no longer required, Next will be working with those affected to ensure that they are considered for any suitable vacancies at Next, whose head office is located close to Joules’ headquarters in Market Harborough.”
