The 10th annual JLL Property Triathlon took place last week, and while it may have taken a little while for the sun to come out, a little bit of drizzle and quite a lot of wind failed to dampen the mood at the industry’s biggest sporting event.
Some 3,800 competitors took part in events at Dorney Lake, Berkshire, including a 2.2km swim, a duathlon, individual and relay triathlons and a new fancy dress triathlon.
Celebrating its 10th anniversary, the event has grown from around 400 competitors in 2006 to almost 4,000 this year. It is now one of the UK’s top five largest triathlons and this raised more than £190,000 for JLL’s corporate charity Starlight. Since its establishment, the event has raised almost £1.7m.
Every year the event brings newcomers to the sport and veterans return year after year. A handful of competitors have even done every year since the triathlon’s formation and on 1 July were seen around Dorney Lake in fetching gold trisuits – see if you can spot them (and yourself) in our gallery below.
