JLL has reduced its energy use across all of its offices by 37% since 2012, hitting its target a year earlier than expected.
In an update released on its sustainability progress for 2019, the agent said it has reduced its energy use from 6,293 MWh in 2012 to 3,937 MWh in 2019 across its offices.
In addition, the company has advised 85 clients on their sustainability programmes, and rolled out sustainability improvements for 1,000 properties.
Chris Ireland, UK chief executive, said the company is on track to hit most of its 2020 sustainability targets.
“Covid-19 has shown both the fragility and the resilience of society and the ecosystem and as we enter the recovery period, we must take the opportunity to build back better by focusing on a green and just recovery – a realisation of our purpose to shape the future of real estate for a better world,” he said.
