JLL has appointed former British Land chief operating officer Joff Sharpe as global operations lead for its Flex platform.
Sharpe co-founded BL flexible workspace platform Storey. He worked at BL for more than six years, having joined the landlord in 2013. He latterly served as chief operating officer for over three years until his departure in February 2020.
Previous jobs also include senior roles at blue-chip companies including Mars, PepsiCo, News International and Vodafone.
Since 2020 his work has focused on private equity, proptech, communications and sustainability.
In his new role at JLL, Sharpe will take responsibility for expanding the agency’s global Flex offering and support the sites it manages on behalf of investor, owner and occupier clients.
Ben Munn, global lead of JLL Flex, said: “His experience at British Land, with Storey, and beyond, will help us build a flexible platform that creates value for our landlord clients and occupier customers alike and further underlines our view that flex is the future of the office sector.”
Sharpe said he will be “driving growth” with the team as it “embraces this new area of opportunity”.
