JD Sports has confirmed it is considering the future of Go Outdoors after it was reported the retailer is preparing to call in administrators.
The business has lodged a notice in court, which creates a moratorium around the company and its property that lasts for 10 business days.
This means creditors cannot launch legal action or continue with existing legal proceedings against the company without the court’s permission.
On Saturday, Sky News reported that JD Sports was preparing to bring in Deloitte as administrator for Go Outdoors, and that the company was gauging interest from potential buyers.
JD Sports said: “Administrators have not yet been appointed and the group will make no further comment at this time.”
