Ivanhoé Cambridge appointed Karim Habra from LaSalle Investment Management as its new European boss.

He replaces Meka Brunel and will start on 2 July.

Habra will be based at the Canadian investment firm’s Paris headquarters and assume responsibility for the company’s European platform and its future growth.

He was previously head of continental Europe for LaSalle Investment Management, which he joined in 2012 as managing director of central Europe, and also spent four years as managing director for European funds at JER Partners, having begun his career in 1998 at GE Real Estate.

Daniel Fournier, chairman and chief executive at Ivanhoé Cambridge, said: “Karim will leverage his network and leadership skills to help us achieve our European strategies as well as manage our current operations.”
