iQ Student Accommodation acquires Nottingham PBSA scheme

Blackstone-owned iQ Student Accommodation has acquired Ten Traffic Street in Nottingham, a 522-bed purpose-built student accommodation scheme from the Jensco Group.

It opened in September 2022 and includes amenities such as study spaces, a roof terrace and outdoor courtyards, cinema, lounge areas, a coffee shop and private dining space.

Ten Traffic Street is adjacent to the University of Nottingham’s new Castle Meadow campus and close to Nottingham Station. The scheme was 99% leased on opening

Harris Associates acted on behalf of Jensco Group.

Harris Associates head of student accommodation Jamie Harris said: “The sale of Ten Traffic Street, one of the first PBSA asset disposals in 2023, demonstrates the resilience of the PBSA sector.

“High-quality PBSA assets continue to be extremely popular with investors thanks to a continued growth in student demand and a lack of high-quality supply.”
