Intu has signed a fifth tenant to leave it just 6,000 sq ft short of filling its proposed £20m leisure extension at The Potteries shopping centre in Stoke-on-Trent.
Chicken restaurant Nando’s has signed for 5,500 sq ft in the 60,000 sq ft extension to the 566,000 sq ft centre.
It joins Gourmet Burger Kitchen, Chiquito, PizzaExpress and Frankie & Benny’s, together with a nine-screen Cineworld cinema.
Work has started on site for the extension, which will include a total of six new restaurants, and completion is due in August 2015.
Talks are ongoing for the final unit of 6,000 sq ft.
