Developer Stories has assembled a board of industry veterans led by Geeta Nanda.
Nanda is chief executive of Metropolitan Thames Valley Housing, chair of the G15 group of London’s largest housing associations, and has three decades of experience in housing.
She is joined by directors Tony Giddings, Jon Milward and Lisa Scenna.
Giddings was previously a partner and construction director at Argent. Milward was previously a partner at Deloitte Real Estate and is managing director of Milward Associates.
Scenna was managing director at Morgan Sindall Group and holds non-executive director posts at Harworth Group and Cromwell Property Group.
The board will advise Stories as it grows its development portfolio and strategic advisory in the UK. The company was founded in 2018 by Paul Clark, former head of development at GL Hearn; Richard Meier, a former partner at Argent; and James Scott, former chief operating officer at The Collective.
Stories is leading the redevelopment of the Broadmarsh shopping centre in Nottingham in partnership with Heatherwick Studio, on behalf of Nottingham City Council. The developer recently lodged plans for a 94-home build-to-rent scheme in Westminster to pay for a new St Mungo’s centre.
Nanda said: “It is really exciting being part of an organisation like Stories which believes in a better, more socially responsible way to deliver new homes and communities. It feels like the time for change in the industry is now.”
