In pictures: the lows and highs of Cycle to Mapic

The scenic route to Mapic is always the best route, especially if you are one of property’s many cyclists and enjoy a few days networking from the saddle before the conference kicks off in Cannes.

This year 42 riders took on a new route on the Club Peloton Cycle to Mapic. The ride started in Le Puy en Velay in the Haute-Loire, then travelled 520km south through the Cevennes and Ardeche National Parks, across the Rhone, and then to the Verdon National Park, taking in 6000m of hills before reaching Cannes.

The tough terrain was made tougher on day one by snowfall, but, like all rides, there were plenty of ups as well as downs, with temperatures topping out at 20°C as the riders made their way into Cannes.

The biggest high, of course, was the huge amount of money raised for the Club Peloton charities, including principal beneficiary Coram. The total is still rising, but so far the riders have raised more than £60,000.

This year’s ride was sponsored by Wembley Park, with teams being supported by British Land, U+I and Nash Bond.
