Yesterday the 53 riders taking part in this year’s Knight Frank Cycle to MIPIM set off from the Horniman Museum and Gardens in Forest Hill and made their way to the coast, taking in picturesque Kent villages and countryside as some welcome late winter sun broke through the clouds.
The day’s peloton consisted of riders from all three teams – Lockton, Longevity and SLR. Gelling together almost immediately, they keep a neat and tidy formation on the road and came into every stop ahead of time. After a swift transfer from Folkestone to Calais, the riders enjoyed a double-carb dinner of lasagne and chips, ready for day two.
The tagline for the Knight Frank Cycle to MIPIM 2024 is “transforming young lives”, and the ride, produced by grant-making charity Club Peloton, supports a number of projects working with young people. Click here to find out more and make a donation.
