A new global agency superpower emerged this week as DTZ announced it had agreed terms for the $2bn (£1.3bn) acquisition of Cushman & Wakefield and Estates Gazette has comprehensive coverage.

Our briefing this week looks at the two firms’ global office networks, highlighting the synergies which underpin the deal, namely C&W’s strength in the Americas and DTZ’s supremacy in China, while the firm’s significant overlap in the UK will lift the combined firm close to the top of EG’s Top Agents rankings.

EG editor Damian Wild has an exclusive interview with the man who will lead the combined company Brett White who explains how and why he plans to make the firm number one.

Plus DTZ stalwart John Forrester explains why the loss of the DTZ brand in much of the world is no cause for regret.
