Improvements on EG Data, News & Analysis site

Since the relaunch of our EG Data, News & Analysis site we have been working hard to make your experience even better.

We will be updating this page regularly as we release improvements to the site, so be sure to return here frequently and be one of the first to learn about new features.

We have been listening to your thoughts on the EG Data, News & Analysis site and below are the ways we have improved the site based on your customer feedback. This is gathered through a number of sources and if you have any improvements that you would like to share with us, please do so through our online form.

  • Latest NewsWe have updated the Latest News box that appears on the news homepage and article pages.
  • You can now scroll within the Latest News box to reveal the latest 30 stories published on the site.
  • Clicking on the “Latest News” or “See all latest news” will take you to the “Latest News” page where all stories appear in chronological order.

  • We have combined the “Retail & Leisure” sector. This now appears in the navigation at the top of the screen.
  • Videos will now play on your mobile device without the need to rotate your phone and will not blow out the side of the screen.

  • arrowCustomisation of the news and legal home pages: We released a new feature that allows you to customise your News and Legal home pages by dragging and dropping the sectors or legal content type that you are interested in most. You can do this by dragging the four-headed arrow on the left-hand side of the screen.

  • Access to the full list of latest news stories: Want your news stories to appear by date? You can now tap on the words “Latest News” in the latest news widget to access the full list of latest news stories, rather than just the latest five.
  • Advanced legal search: You can now search by “Case name” in the advanced legal search, updating a previous bug which said “Type in judge name”.
  • Advanced legal search: We updated the term “Reference” to read “Citation” which is more appropriate in a legal context.
  • Double article headline on smartphone: We have removed the duplication of the lead story headline on the news homepage when viewed on smartphones.
