Hotel owner in a cycle of expansion

The American investment firm that owns the Village hotel and leisure chain is backing a £480m expansion of the business over the next eight years.

KSL Capital Partners, which acquired Village from De Vere Group four years ago for £485m, will back an investment plan that aims to increase the number of UK hotels from 30 to 50 by 2026, creating 2,400 jobs.

Village Hotel Club, which recently opened its 30th property in Filton, Bristol, said that it believed there was potential for another 100 sites in Britain and is also considering overseas opportunities.
