HMRC to let Bristol office

3-Glasswharf-THUMBHMRC is in talks to prelet 110,000 at Salmon Harvester Properties’ 3 Glass Wharf in Bristol as part of its 2m sq ft regional requirement.

It is thought to be paying around £28 per sq ft.

The 114,830 sq ft office in Bristol city centre’s Temple Quarter Enterprise Zone is the last phase of Salmon’s developments along the harbour and forms part of a wider masterplan.

HMRC has one of the UK’s largest requirements, in line with plans to consolidate 137 offices into 13 regional centres over the next five years.

The 13 new regional centres will be located in Stratford, Croydon, Bristol, Leeds, Nottingham, Birmingham, Newcastle, Manchester, Liverpool, Cardiff, Belfast, Glasgow and Edinburgh.

HSM and Alder King advise Salmon Harvester Properties, a joint venture between NFU Mutual and Salmon Developments.

BNP Paribas Real Estate is advising HMRC on the Bristol letting, while Bilfinger GVA has been providing overall strategic advice.

HMRC has also appointed JLL, which advised it on its 180,000 sq ft lease of offices at Ruskin Square in Croydon.
