Hill Group gets go-ahead for final phase of Cambridge scheme

Housebuilder Hill Group has secured planning permission for the £220m third and final phase of Marleigh on the eastern edge of Cambridge.

The approved plans will deliver 423 homes, bringing the total number of homes at the development to 1,391.

The final phase of Marleigh, designed by JTP architects, will provide a range of housing options including private sale, shared ownership and affordable rent. The homes will include flats, terraced homes, semi-detached and detached.

Andy Hill, founder and group chief executive of Hill Group: “Since starting work onsite in 2018, we have built not just homes but a thriving community, complete with a popular primary school and village centre. Phase three continues our commitment to delivering a range of energy-efficient, high-quality homes with something for everyone.”

Ian Fenn, partner at architects JTP, said: “This planning approval is a pivotal moment for Marleigh and a testament to the collaboration between JTP and the Hill Group. Together we have created a design-led community where green open spaces are paramount.”
