Hermes to sell Bluewater stake

Bluewater-West-Village-CGI-THUMB.jpegHermes has put its 7.5% interest in Bluewater shopping centre in Kent up for sale for £167m.

As one of the principal owners, it is selling its direct interest in the 1.6m sq ft scheme along with a seat at the board table of the shopping centre.

Hermes has been one of the principal owners of Bluewater since it opened, but is looking to sell its stake as part of an ongoing portfolio management process.

If a deal completes at the asking price it would value Bluewater at more than £2.2bn.

HP4 is advising Hermes.
