A housebuilder is being groomed for a sale or float four years after a clutch of hedge funds bought it from Lloyds Bank.
Derbyshire-based Avant Homes, formerly known as Gladedale, could be valued at up to £600m in a deal.
The price tag was £175m when Alchemy Special Opportunities, Angelo Gordon and Avenue Capital took charge in 2014. Lloyds had acquired the business through its takeover of HBOS during the financial crisis.
