Heathrow has thrown its weight behind demands to scrap the so-called tourist tax.
The airport has accused prime minister Rishi Sunak of “shutting the door” on domestic growth with his decision during the pandemic to withdraw VAT-free spending for visitors from overseas.
A call to reverse the decision in the 6 March Budget is being backed by scores of retailers, as well as major landlords including Cadogan.
