For three years EG has been surveying the industry to see how people who identify as LGBTQ+ feel in the industry, how wide the sector’s understanding of LGBTQ+ people and issues is and whether attitudes have improved.
As part of LGBT+ History Month, we are running the survey again and invite you to share your experiences of LGBTQ+ inclusion in real estate.
This survey is open to anyone, no matter how you identify, and we have included some questions to specifically try to draw out the experiences of different subsections of the LGBTQ+ community.
We understand that this information can be quite personal, but we are asking for it for statistical purposes only, and all responses are completely anonymous.

This year, for the first time, the survey includes a question around ethnicity. This has been included to try and better understand intersectionality and the specific issues that may impact different segments of society.
It also includes a question on pronouns, as EG believes it important to allow people to label themselves as they feel comfortable.
EG hopes that this survey will continue to help change attitudes towards LGBTQ+ people in the real estate sector for the better and will help identify best practice and where and how improvements can be made to make the built environment a more diverse, inclusive and attractive career choice for more people.
The survey takes less than 10 minutes to complete. Each question provides an opportunity to comment further should you wish to.
Please do share the survey with your colleagues and clients in the industry.
The survey will close for responses on 12 February. Results will be published in EG on 27 February.
