LAST CHANGE TO ENTER: EG’s Future Leaders programme is back, which means we are on the hunt for at least one person from across the built environment to become a “wildcard” entrant to this award-winning experience.
The EG Future Leaders project seeks to bring together people from under-represented groups across the real estate sector to showcase the talent, diversity, inclusion and prospects for the industry in an educational, entertaining and always emotionally uplifting way.
Now building its fourth cohort, the Future Leaders alumni are growing to be one of the most influential groups of talent in the sector, with skills learnt during the intensive public speaking programme – provided by EG’s partner Ginger Leadership Communications – helping propel participants forward in their careers.
For this new cohort of Future Leaders, EG is looking to amplify the conversation brought to life by participants across the sector.
The built environment is going through an immense transformation. Sped up by the coronavirus pandemic, the rate of change the industry is going through has never been faster. Responding to the climate crisis, putting equality, diversity and inclusion at the heart of business, adopting technology, levelling up… never before has the industry had to react, learn and implement so quickly.
To help the sector on this journey, we will be tasking our latest cohort of Future Leaders to theme their 10-minute Ted-style talks around transformation, creating not just a must-attend event for those who know the impact these talks can have, but a can’t-miss event for any business that doesn’t want to get left behind in this fast-changing world.
To enter, you’ll need to tell us which under-represented group in the sector you are a member of, what part of the industry you work in and why being part of the Future Leaders programme is important to you, as well as giving us a taste of which element of transformation in the sector you want to talk about.
If you think you’ve got what it takes to join this group of change-making Future Leaders, then click here to enter the ballot for a wildcard space. Entries are open until midnight on 27 February.
This is not a diversity programme. This is a programme about the industry being the very best it can be, about thriving, about showing the world what it has to offer
What is EG Future Leaders?
The EG Future Leaders project is now firmly established as an award-winning programme to showcase the very best hidden talent across the real estate industry. This is a programme that works tirelessly to open doors for those people in our industry who do not come from traditional backgrounds, who have not followed the traditional routes into real estate.
This is a programme that puts inclusivity at its heart and seeks to help the real estate industry reverse its lack of diversity at senior levels, be that in terms of gender, ethnicity, disability, socio-economic background or neurodiversity, and find the very best talent – talent that is often hidden right in front of your eyes.
Through bringing a diverse group of future leaders together, the EG Future Leaders programme seeks to bring new ideas, ideals and goals for the real estate sector into the limelight. This is not a diversity programme. This is a programme about the industry being the very best it can be, about thriving, about showing the world what it has to offer.
EG Future Leaders is not just a must-attend event for those who know the impact these talks can have, but a can’t-miss event for any business that doesn’t want to get left behind in this fast-changing world
About the programme
The programme provides a platform for six to eight Future Leaders, who will take part in an eight-week intensive public speaking training programme led by EG’s expert training partner Ginger Leadership Communications that will give them invaluable skills for both their professional and personal growth. Throughout the programme they will learn how to turn an idea or passion into an impactful presentation, culminating in a Ted-style talk in front of an audience of hundreds.
This cohort’s wildcard entrants will be selected by a judging panel comprising members of EG’s Inclusive Content Board and key supporters of the Future Leaders programme.
Through taking part in the programme, participants will be given exposure through EG content and be provided with the opportunity to play their part in shifting real estate forward in its journey of transformation.
One idea or theme from each cohort will be selected to become a project for EG and the Future Leaders partners and participant alumni. The project group will work on turning this one theme into a reality.
