Oliver Slack has been appointed as director of City investment at GVA.
The 38-year old will join the company from Cushman & Wakefield, where he spent four years in the City investment team.
His appointment comes just under a year after GVA’s previous head of City investment, Richard Garside, was poached by BNP Paribas Real Estate.
Slack, who began his career at Savills, will be tasked with rebuilding GVA’s presence in the City and bringing in new junior staff.
During his 18 years in the City market he has worked with clients including Westbrook, Invesco, DTZ IM, CBRE GI, LaSalle IM, Land Securities and Rockspring.
He will be based at GVA’s City headquarters at 80 Cheapside, EC2 .
The company is looking for new office space in the City. Among the options under consideration are JP Morgan’s 10 Aldermanbury, EC2 .
GVA senior director and head of London markets Patrick O’Keefe said: “This is a key appointment in our drive to strengthen our London transactional compliment.”
