Green light for £78m Nottingham housing scheme

Housebuilder Avant Homes has been granted planning permission to bring forward 265 mixed-tenure homes in Clifton, just to the south of Nottingham.

A £77.5m residential development, called Foxgrove Village, will be built on the 24-acre site off Hawksley Gardens. It will feature energy-efficient terraced, semi-detached and detached homes, as well as townhouses.

The scheme will comprise a mix of one, two, three, four and five-bedroom homes, 20% of which will be affordable.

Work at Foxgrove Village is scheduled to start in April, with the first properties to be released for sale in May and the first residents to move into their new homes in November.

Ben Felton, managing director at Avant Homes East Midlands, said: “We know from the popularity of our nearby Wilbur Chase development in Ruddington that there is strong demand in the area for our practically designed, energy-efficient multi-tenure new homes.

“This is demonstrated by the significant number of sales enquiries we already have for Foxgrove Village and, now that we have been granted planning, we expect demand to increase further.”
