A £120m residential-led mixed-use development in Polmont, near Falkirk, Scotland, has been granted planning permission.
The Gilston Park proposals, submitted by Hansteen Land in February, include the construction of 500 new homes, 25% of which will be affordable, a neighbourhood centre and retail and industrial space.
The developer has proposed to invest a further £8m towards local education and transport infrastructure.
Hansteen has been working on plans for the site since 2020, with previous proposals falling through amid lack of support from large-scale business users. The revised plans include more than six acres of serviceable employment land for new or local businesses, start-up business enterprises and workshops.
