Residential landlord Grainger has hired a chief information officer from Hewlett-Packard to lead its technological transformation.
The group has appointed Paul Glibbery to the role. He brings with him more than 20 years’ experience of leading the delivery of global technology and digital business transformation programmes for brands including Hewlett-Packard, Airbus and Fujitsu.
During his seven-year tenure at Hewlett-Packard, Glibbery acted as delivery director for HP Defence UK, led the group’s ES Business Transformation Programme in the EMEA region, and ultimately was responsible for a $250m (£205m) global account and sales team, with the remit of implementing a strategy for clients to transition the technology mix from legacy to digital services, working in strategic partnerships with Microsoft, AWS and Dell.
Chief executive Helen Gordon said that Glibbery, who will sit on the board, would help “drive our technology transformation and the roll-out of Connect, which has proven highly valuable during the current market conditions.”
Connect is an integrated technology solution which Grainger said will enhance the customer experience, improve operational efficiencies further and protect its licence to operate.
