Global Port Services, a part of Global Energy Group, has struck a new deal at Aberdeen Energy Park.
The marine and logistics operations provider has renewed the lease for its headquarters, spanning 12,000 sq ft of warehouse space and 4,000 sq ft of offices, for a further 10 years. In addition, the company took 1,950 sq ft of workspace at the Hub.
The HQ building was developed for Global Ports’ cranes division in 2014, while the space on the first floor at the Hub is expected to become a home for its shipping division, which comprises 13 people.
Aberdeen Energy Park located next to AM Sci Tech’s Aberdeen Innovation Park, comprises more than 13 buildings serving 120 occupiers.
Gordon Farmer, chief financial officer of Global Ports, said: “The energy park has been a convenient location for our business for almost 10 years, and we were eager to consolidate and expand our operations here.
“It offers facilities that meet our business requirements in the Aberdeen area. Having the majority of our fleet and operations team working from a single location brings business benefits to us.”
Cherry Paton, estates manager at Aberdeen Energy and Innovation Parks, added: “This is positive news not only for the parks but also for the broader Aberdeen economy.”
Knight Frank and Ryden are joint agents for the parks.
