A key part of this year’s EG Future Leaders Summit was ensuring the powerful words we heard on stage were more than just inspirational presentations of how we could do better as a sector.
At every EG Future Leaders, the audience is given a task to open their minds and lean into the stories told, to take one thing away with them. One thing that has made them think differently.
For the Summit, we made this more of a requirement than a request – so as well as listening to our amazing Future Leaders, the audience picked themes from the talks and then learned, with the help of EG’s training partner Ginger Leadership Communications, how to turn them into their stories, wants and hopes for the industry. Through the process the room delivered pledge after pledge (see below) of things they and their businesses could do to showcase how powerful and purposeful property could be. Then together, the room committed to a single pledge to take into our lives in the sector.
We committed to see, listen and do.
We committed to see the world and the environment around us. What does it look like? What does it feel like? Not just for you, but for somebody else.
We committed to listen. To be quiet sometimes and listen. To listen to what someone is saying. And, importantly, what they’re not.
And we committed to do. What have we seen? What have we heard? What can we do and what can our businesses do to change those things?
Now, we ask you to utilise the pledge and share it across your social media if you too pledge to #seelistendo.
